West Bromwich Albion: Peter Odemwingie will have no problems relegating his former club
Peter Odemwingie

Former West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie has warned The Baggies in today's Mirror that he will be gunning for them on the last day of the season.
Stoke City's Nigerian striker caused a storm at The Hawthorns over his controversial Twitter comments in the wake of his infamous failed transfer deadline day move to QPR.
Since joining Stoke in January from Cardiff he has been a revelation and he knows he could help relegate his old club on the final day of the season, something he has no qualms about doing.
"If it is a game where my club needs a performance, I am going to perform."

Nigeria coach, Stephen Keshi, will next week defend his 35-man provisional squad for the World Cup in Brazil, officials announced.
Top Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) official Chris Green told MTNfootball.com the Eagles coach would defend his World Cup provisional list before the technical committee.
“Keshi will present his list in the first week of April before the technical committee in Abuja,” stated Green, who is the NFF technical committee chairman.
“He may not be presenting a 30-man list as speculated, but a 35-man list. And we expect him to defend the inclusion of every player in the list. Because the World Cup is not a tea party.
“We are monitoring our world cup opponents, we have got some tips about them, we have people monitoring them to get more information about them.
“The World Cup is the greatest football competition in the world and we are working hard in the federation to make impact.
“We therefore expect him to bring forward the best legs the country has, but we would not influence his selection, so whoever he chooses, he must defend before the committee next week.”
All 32 World Cup finalists are expected to submit a 30-man provisional squad latest May 13 to FIFA.

David Moyes: Man Utd boss takes responsibility after Man City loss

David Moyes: Man Utd boss takes responsibility after Man City loss

Manager David Moyes took responsibility for Manchester United's dramatic decline this season after a dismal home defeat to Manchester City.

The reigning champions are seventh, 18 points adrift of leaders Chelsea after City inflicted United's sixth home league loss of the season.

"I am the one who picks the team," Moyes said. "I take responsibility and always will do. It is disappointing."

A rapid decline at United

Manchester United
After 31 league matches last season, United topped the table on 77 points - 12 clear of City. After the same number of games this season, the Red Devils are 26 points worse off, 15 behind their rivals who have two games in hand

"I thought it would be a tough year but I hoped it would be more competitive."

The defeat means United have now lost more league games at home this season than in the previous three campaigns combined.

In nine matches against the Premier League's top five, they have won just once, against Arsenal in November.

Despite reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League, United have fallen well short of the consistency which saw them win the title by 11 points under Sir Alex Ferguson before his retirement last summer.

"Everybody knows this is a job that is going to take a little bit of time to get the way we would like but that is the job," added Moyes, 50.

"Other clubs have had to do rebuilding jobs - we hope it won't take as long as some others but we have a period of time to get to that level.

"There are a lot of really good players in the squad, a lot of internationals, who, on their day, can be a match for most players."

United against the Premier League top five

  • Chelsea: 0-0 draw (home); 3-1 defeat (away)
  • Man City: 4-1 defeat (away); 3-0 defeat (home)
  • Liverpool: 1-0 defeat (away); 3-0 defeat (home)
  • Arsenal: 1-0 win (home); 0-0 draw (away)
  • Everton: 1-0 defeat (home); away fixture 20 April

The former Everton boss admits he hoped United would be "closer to the top of the league than we are at the moment," but believes his side did not "lack effort or commitment" against their local rivals.

City, who were the last team to deny United the title in 2012, scored through Edin Dzeko after 43 seconds at Old Trafford and the Bosnian doubled the lead before Yaya Toure struck a third late on.

"We never came out of the blocks," added Moyes. "We never got started. For Manchester City to score inside the first minute gave them a really big lift.

"I told the players at half-time that we wanted to start the second half stronger and that we needed to play in their half but we never really got that."

Rodgers warns United on failure to qualify for European top tier

Rodgers warns United on failure to qualify for European top tier

Dramatic improvement in Anfield side puts them 11 points above Moyes’s side

Brendan Rodgers has warned Manchester United of lasting consequences for failing to secure Champions League football and that Liverpool would move out of reach with victory tomorrow.
The Liverpool manager has watched a remarkable swing in fortunes against United this season and heads to Old Trafford 11 points above David Moyes’s team, having finished 28 points below Alex Ferguson’s champions last term.
Rodgers knows from experience that Liverpool’s global reputation and history of success could not compete with the lure of the Champions League for leading players. He believes United will not be immune from the problem should Moyes’s side – in sixth and nine points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City, having played two games more – need to rebuild from a position of weakness this summer.
“This is a worldwide club, a monumental club, but when you’re not in the Champions League we found it difficult because the best players want to play in the best competitions. Any club will suffer when they’re not in there. There is no doubt it will hurt you but they [United] know that,” said the Liverpool manager.
‘Long way to go’
“It’s not simple to get back in. You think every year is the next year. I was reading a Jan Molby interview today about the great Liverpool teams of the past. He said when they missed out one year became two and then all of a sudden it was 20 years since they last won the title. It can get away from you very quickly. It’s our focus and drive to arrive in there. We have a long way to go but show great potential to be in there. I believe if we can get to that level then it gives us a massive advantage as a club,” he added.
Liverpool are unbeaten in the Premier League this year and Champions League aspirations have turned increasingly towards a first championship since 1990.
Rodgers, though bullish about his team’s fine vein of form, claims Liverpool “still have a lot of work to get into the Champions League” and denied his players arrive at Old Trafford as the superior team.
“I think it is dangerous to think that. They are still the champions and all we can do is go there and look where we are at. We are second in the league on merit,” he said.
“We have performed consistently for a long period of time and that makes us a very dangerous opponent.
“Our first job is to consolidate fourth and then work upwards. That is the aim.”

Zabaleta backs City to win trophies

Zabaleta backs City to win trophies

Defender Pablo Zabaleta is convinced Manchester City will win the Premier League if they replicate their performance in Barcelona consistently.

City bowed out of the Champions League at the Nou Camp on Wednesday as a 2-1 defeat to the Spanish champions condemned them to a 4-1 aggregate loss in the last-16 tie.
But in terms of performance, Zabaleta felt the team did themselves proud - although he himself blotted the copybook somewhat by being sent off after picking up a second booking for dissent.
The Argentinian believes City will soon put their disappointment aside if they can channel the same energy and attitude into their one remaining trophy target for the season.
The 29-year-old said: "We had determination and character in the Camp Nou. It is never easy to come to Barcelona and get the result we did.
"We should learn about all these things. I am 100 per cent sure if we keep playing like we did there we can win some trophy."
City have fallen nine points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea while concentrating on cup football over the past three weeks.
They do have three games in hand as a result, but the pressure will be on as they look to start their catch-up job at Hull on Saturday.
Zabaleta said: "Hopefully we can keep playing with that intensity.
"We know the only trophy we go for now until the end of the season is the Premier League.
"We know how tough Hull away is but we have a fantastic team.
"It is just belief and playing with intensity. With this team, playing the way we did on Wednesday, we can beat anybody."
City are facing an anxious wait for an update on the fitness of top scorer Sergio Aguero.
The Argentina striker, in only his third game back after a hamstring injury, did not return for the second half in Barcelona after feeling a twinge in a similar area.
Assistant manager Ruben Cousillas said his removal was precautionary but there are fears he may have suffered a recurrence of the problem that kept him out for five games in February.
He was due to undergo a scan after the team returned to Manchester.
Zabaleta said of his countryman: "Hopefully it is nothing serious.
"He will have a scan to see if the hamstring is okay.
"Fingers crossed. We know how important Sergio is for the team and hopefully he can keep fit for the next game."

Van Persie’s actions will speak louder than words tomorrow

(Page 1 of 2) - NEXT PAGE | SINGLE PAGE
We know that Robin van Persie loves playing against Liverpool, but does he still love playing for Manchester United? We may get some answers in tomorrow night’s big game at the Theatre of Dreams.
The Dutchman has been quoted in tomorrow’s match programme as claiming he is very happy under the new regime, enjoying his time at Old Trafford, and that he wishes to stay at the club for the rest of his career. However, rumours persist that last season’s top scorer is growing more despondent about United’s deterioration under David Moyes.
Visibly unhappy about not being allowed to manage his fitness, frustrated by a lack of creativity around him and exasperated at the prospect of sitting out next season’s Champions League, the 30-year-old’s recent body language has been more transparent — and telling — than the interview he has conducted with the club’s media department. It is clear that the Dutchman is not a happy chap at the moment.
With four goals in his last seven outings, van Persie certainly is not out of form. His ruthlessness in front of goal remains, even if he has not looked like hitting the heights that snared him 30 goals in his debut season at Old Trafford.
Bagging six goals in his last seven Premier League appearances against Liverpool also suggests they are one of his “lucky” teams, but is his head in the right place for this game?
Moyes was forced to substitute the tetchy frontman before he was sent off at West Brom last weekend. The cool, smiling van Persie, who so delighted in working with Alex Ferguson last season, has disappeared, replaced instead by the very picture of irritation.
Danny Welbeck’s fine goal late in that game has led to debate as to whether he would be picked ahead of the former Arsenal star but, in a match of this magnitude, I cannot see Moyes being brave enough to leave his main man on the bench. If van Persie is ineffective and looking sulky though, do not be surprised to see a change early in the second half.
With home advantage, United, who are under pressure, will just about start as the bookies’ favourites. However, based on what we have seen of the two sides this season, they will have their work cut out to take all three points.
Liverpool trailed their bitter rivals by 28 points last season but, currently, are 11 ahead. It has been an unbelievable change in fortunes.
Frighteningly dangerous on the break, thanks to the speed and invention of Jordan Henderson, Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez (they have six counter-attack goals this season; United have none), Liverpool possess all the tools they need to destroy the reigning champions, should they leave holes in defence.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says league must be do more to help teams prepare for Champions League ties

Jose Mourinho has joined Arsène Wenger and Frank Lampard in warning that the fixture schedule is hurting English clubs in Europe and highlighted how Galatasaray will have an extra day to prepare for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Chelsea.
Didier Drogba’s Galatasaray played on Friday night in the Turkish League against Karabukspor while Mourinho’s Chelsea have been put back to an evening kick-off against Aston Villa on Saturday so that their match can be shown live on television.
Arsenal were in the same position of having to play their Champions League first leg against Bayern Munich with a day’s less rest, as did Manchester City against Barcelona on Wednesday. Having returned from Spain on Thursday morning, City have a 12.45pm kick-off on Saturday for television.
Mourinho has also worked in Portugal, Spain and Italy and he says that every other European league tries to help its clubs. Like Wenger, he now believes that fixtures should be harmonised before Champions League matches.
Chelsea are the only English team to have progressed past the last 16 of the Champions League in the past three years. “There is something in this country that goes outside my understanding,” said Mourinho. “People don’t care that English teams are struggling in Europe? I care. TV deserves to be powerful but there is space that could be filled with communication and with people who can witness the experiences.
“They should ask the players. Ask Drogba is it the same for him to play Friday or Saturday and travel to London on Sunday to play Tuesday. If we played Friday 7.45pm, it makes a difference to who?
“I’m trying to get this for all of us, not just me. I hope Yaya Touré doesn’t tell me to shut up, but why not us play at 12.45pm and City at 5.30pm? We’d have extra time to recover and so would they.”
The reference to Touré followed the Manchester City midfielder’s claim that it was not “correct” for Mourinho to talk so much about other teams.
Mourinho responded on Friday by saying that he has only ever tried to support City by talking up their chances in the Premier League and Champions League.

London (AFP) - Banned French striker Nicolas Anelka on Friday revealed he has quit West Bromwich Albion with immediate effect.
Anelka, who turned 35 on Friday, was due to start a five-match ban after being punished for his controversial "quenelle" goal celebration but instead he has decided to terminate his contract with the Premier League club.
"Following discussions between the club and me, proposals have been made to me that I rejoined the group under certain conditions," Anelka wrote on his official Twitter account.
"I cannot accept. Wishing to keep my integrity, I decided to free myself and to terminate the contract linking me with West Bromwich Albion until 2014 as of now."
Anelka's contract with the Baggies was set to expire at the end of the season and it had already been reported that he was considering quitting the Hawthorns after growing disillusioned over the controversy surrounding his now infamous use of what many regard as an anti-semitic gesture to celebrate a goal in West Brom's 3-3 draw at West Ham on December 28.
The ex-France international strenuously denied all allegations of being racist or anti-semitic and said the salute was to show solidarity with his friend, controversial French comedian Dieudonne M'Bala M'Bala.
West Brom, whose own investigation into the former Arsenal and Real Madrid star's actions was expected to conclude next week, responded angrily to Anelka's announcement and revealed they had received no formal notification of his wish to leave.
"The club confirms it has been continuing discussions with Nicolas Anelka and his advisers as part of its own internal enquiry into the gesture he made after scoring against West Ham United on December 28," a statement read.
"Following the conclusion of the FA's enquiry into the same incident, the club had hoped to conclude its own investigations next week.
"The club notes Nicolas Anelka's comments on Twitter this evening. However, the club has received nothing formally regarding the termination of Nicolas Anelka's contract from either him or his advisers.
"The club regards the release of such a statement on social media as highly unprofessional and will make a further statement when appropriate."
Albion had already lost one sponsor as a result of the row and the club had not ruled out sacking Anelka for his quenelle gesture.
On Thursday, the Football Association (FA) decided against appealing the length of Anelka's ban, issued by an independent commission for his actions.
Anelka, who has spent 12 years of his career in the Premier League with six clubs, is understood to have also accepted the ruling, which meant his suspension would have started with West Brom's match at Swansea on Saturday.
The FA were considering an appeal to obtain an increase to the ban, which was the minimum that could be handed out based on the governing body's new rules overseeing offences of a racist nature.
Anelka's apparently acrimonious exit from Albion has come to light just a day after the club and the FA were criticised by the equality group Kick It Out.
"There are many ambiguities that are not easily reconcilable with the final outcome," the Kick It Out statement read.
"For instance, Anelka has attended one of Dieudonne's live performances and admits to being a friend of his, and to claim that he does not understand the anti-Semitic connotations of the quenelle is beyond feasibility.
"His employer West Bromwich Albion should have exercised its leadership as a community institution to apologise for the offence caused and deal with the matter in accordance with its disciplinary procedures."
Following the incident, Anelka started all four of Albion's Premier League games in January. But he has not featured since and was due to miss relegation-threatened Albion's matches against Swansea, Hull, Norwich, Cardiff and Tottenham.

Meet the Other Star of ‘Need For Speed’: The Custom Ford Mustang GT

The new film Need For Speed rolls into theaters across the country tomorrow, and for car enthusiasts, this is set to be a big premiere. We’ve dug deep finding out all we can about NFS before the rest of the country sees it. We’ve showcased the cars, interviewed the director, and even sat down with the film’s star, Aaron Paul. But Ford might think that Paul is a supporting actor to the automaker’s own custom Mustang GT.
A Mustang GT– even a custom one, typically would not be able to hold its own against the Koenigseggs, Bugattis and McLarens of the world, but Ford build a one-of-a-kind ride that looks the part on screen. The writers of the film also worked the plot so that the Mustang never has to directly battle with the hypercars. Rather, the custom Mustang GT is Aaron Paul’s chariot in a cross-country race against time.
02-Mustang

It is pretty clear that this is no ordinary Mustang, so to learn more, we spoke with Mary Ellen Abraham, the experimental marketing manager at Ford. “This was obviously a one-of-a-kind car,” said Abraham, “It is a ’14, but there are obvious nods to the new 2015 Mustang. There are also elements like the wide body kit, revised front and rear from the GT500, twin-snort hood, larger air intakes, and big 22-inch wheels. The result is a strong, athletic stance.”
In certain sections of the film, we learn bits about the car. In a type of reveal event, like at the auto shows, it is claimed that the car has 900 horsepower, but the actual vehicle may have differed. “You can get 900 horse from a 5.4-liter Ford racing crate engine and a supercharger,” said Abraham, “but we had to build several stunt vehicles and make them unique for their intended use, so the actual cars that we have different drivetrains based on filming.”
04-Mustang

Strangely, the director, hero car, and decision to do practical stunts may have come down to one very unlikely car– the Ford Taurus.
“Scott had done some commercials for us including some Taurus videos,” said Abraham, “We decided we wanted to stay connected with Scott. About a year and a half to two years ago, he thought there was a good chance he would be tapped to direct, and came back to us.”
Once Scott was in, so was Ford and with the new 2015 Mustang on the way, you might think the synergy and product placement was too good to pass up.

“Well, the official reveal [of the ’15 Mustang] was coveted.” Explained Abraham, “There was a ton of risk in using the new vehicle in the film during the filming process. Mary Ellen said the ideal solution was to have a modified ’14 Mustang GT, and feature the ’15 in a very select moment (it makes a cameo in the final scene).
PHOTOS: See More of the 2013 Ford Mustang GT Need For Speed
In the film, Aaron Paul plays Tobey Marshall, a car builder and racer. When he gets framed for a crime he didn’t commit, he is sent to prison. Once out, he is bent on confronting those who set him up, by entering a race called De Leon. Marshall must make it cross country in record time, and the machine that will get him there is the Mustang.
NFS2

To make the cross country journey, the Mustang was fitted with some very special equipment, including an advanced head-up display, and a center touch screen so well connected that it would make an Apple Genius Bar employee blush. According to Abraham, the HUD and digital screen are computer graphic effects. Director Scott Waugh put an emphasis on practical stunt scenes, and so the CG for those elements are scarce, though the communications equipment in the vehicle plays a big role throughout the film.
03-Mustang

According to Ford, the custom Mustang has “dynamic proportions,” and the “thrilling engine sounds have given Mustang an enduring, nearly universal appeal.” The car is pretty impressive, and the design team worked cues of the 2015 model into the design, especially in the lower front fascia.
It is a very unique car, and one that plays a very fun setting for Tobey Marshall’s journey across the country. You may have played as some cooler cars in Need for Speed, but the Mustang is like a cousin or uncle– you’re just used to it being there. Perhaps its ubiquity is what makes it a terrific setting for many of the scenes in Need For Speed.

Anna Banner is searching for a boyfriend

Anna Banner is searching for a boyfriend

MBGN Anna Banner
Not only is she beautiful, she’s also down to earth. Stunning and current Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria, Anna Banner sat with NET in a chat where she revealed loads about herself, plus her relationship status and how she lost the Miss World beauty pageant. Excerpt:
How was the ‘Miss World’ experience?
Miss World was fantastic, awesome and off the hook, and also annoying especially because it was a coming together of girls of different races and orientations, and everyone had different behaviours that could be annoying and hard to relate with. But I was able to relate more with contestants from Indonesia, India, Guam, Jamaica, Belize, Bahamas, Ghana, Zambia and South Sudan.
I was friends with those people and we really had a blast. We didn’t really see it as a
competition but as a fun experience.
What would you attribute to your failure to at least make the top 10 list at the pageant?
I don’t know what exactly, but I know I did my best. Another thing that might have contributed was that before Miss World, I was sick, so I didn’t really have much time to prepare. I fell ill around the middle of August and Miss World was September 3rd. I was down with Malaria, and was in the hospital for like five days. After I came out of the hospital, I had to rest for a further one week, so I had little time to get the things I needed for the pageant. You are expected to bring traditional costumes, flag, historic books and so many requirements that I needed to take, but my illness prevented me from going fully prepared. But I thank God for everything.
And when asked whether she plans to remain single she said:
“Why should I plan to remain single? I am single for now but I don’t plan to remain single. When I have a boyfriend, everybody will know.”

Help! I’m pregnant for my friend’s husband, what do I do?

Help! I’m pregnant for my friend’s husband, what do I do?

heartcopyDear Taiwo,
I have never believed in nemesis and right from when I was young, I have always felt I could have whatever I wanted.  My mother who always encouraged me to flaunt my beauty and take delight in vain things also did not help me. This made me grow up to believe that I can always have whatever I wanted, not only that; the best of everything should always be mine.
With this mind set, I was set to conquer the world and take everything. My best and childhood friend was however of a different opinion. Tiwalade, a quiet, kind-hearted unassuming lady. She couldn’t have been my friend if she wasn’t kind and extremely nice, because I know I could be nasty and bad if I chose to be.
Tiwalade tolerated all my excesses and she remained my friend for a long time, even through thick and thin and when nobody would relate with me, she was there.
We were inseparable and always doing things like twins. Although, quiet and reserved, Tiwalade was very brilliant and she has had course to bail me out of many difficult situations, especially at school and with my studies.
Like I stated earlier, we started school together, and we attended the same schools. When we sat for our Senior Secondary School Examination (SSCE), I managed to pass while she passed in flying colours. I wouldn’t have been able to secure a university admission if not for her mother’s help.
She helped in getting me admission to study the same course with her daughter. And because of her mother’s influence in the university community, we got accommodation to stay in the same room.
Although, reserved, Tiwalade has a way of enjoying life. We attended parties together, but it was always to my delight that I always attracted the best guys. I have tried several times to find out if this really bothered my friend, but sincerely she was never. She enjoyed whatever came her way and let the remaining be.
I was however, surprised when in our final year in school, we attended a friend’s birthday party which had children of the high and mighty and who is who in the nation in attendance.
I was happy and pleased with myself, because that day, I was at my best.
The party was already in full swing when this guy came in, I would not want his name mentioned for obvious reasons.  He became the belle of the party and every lady courted his attention, except for my friend Tiwalade.
I was however surprised that out of all the beauties at the party, though non-chalant she was the one who got his attention that night. I was shocked; why not me?
He took us back to the hostel even before the party ended. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have followed them, but because I wanted to get the guys attention, I decided to follow them. He had no eyes for me and this got me really angry and I made up my mind to get him at all cost.
Apart from setting out to get him, I also began to tell my friend negative tales about him, knowing her mindset, she was not bothered, and she even told me that she had no intentions of having anything serious with him as she was only catching fun.
Fortunately, for her and to my disappointment, the fun became a reality. He proposed marriage to her even before we left school and they got married as soon as we finished service. He did not even allow her to go into the labour market; she started her own business, a boutique immediately. Tiwalade did not go to Dubai, she started with Italy and places like that. Before long, she became a big girl.
She prevailed on her husband who doesn’t seem to like me a bit to help me secure a job. Because of my friend, he did and did not mince words to tell me that.
Before I could say jack, Tiwa gave birth to a set of twin boys who both looked every inch like their father this made her husband and his family to really love her.
I learnt that Tiwa’s late father-in-law was a twin, and they all believed that he reincarnated through Tiwa’s babies.
After the elaborate naming ceremony party, I became very sad, I didn’t realise my countenance was obvious until a colleague in the office who went with me to the party asked what was eating me up.
I told her a friend of, mine snatched my boyfriend, and she didn’t allow me land before asking if Tiwa is the friend. I asked how she knew; she replied that it was written all over me at the party. She said she could help me. She did by taking me to see a spiritualist who after listening to my narration told me that if I insisted that my friend snatched my man, he could help me, but what he saw was that Tiwa and her husband were made for each other.
He said he could help me by giving me some charms which would allow me get his attention, he would date me and equally give me some money which will make my life comfortable. He however warned me that for no reason must I get pregnant for him, because I am destined to have just one child, there won’t be an opportunity for an abortion also then day Tiwa’s husband finds out I am pregnant, the juju will lose its potency.
He told me I can never be happy as a second wife and Tiwa’s husband would not even take a second wife. I promised him I will be careful.
The juju was very potent. I visited Tiwa’s husband in his office three days after I started the concoction as instructed by the juju man. I was surprised at his change of attitude. Gradually, we started dating and once in awhile when he is in his senses he would plead with me that for no reason must his wife know about us.
I visited the juju man almost all the time and after renewing the juju, he repeated his warning that I must never get pregnant.
My friend’s husband gave me a huge amount of money to start a business of my own too; I did, but did not leave my job. He bought a porch car for me. I told Tiwa that the source of my changed status was a man I met who came on from the US, she advised me to hold on to him and make sure that he married me. Quite unassuming, she even offered to take me to her Sheppard at the spiritual church her husband’s family attended so that he would help me with prayers.
I was always careful not to get pregnant. I have dated my friend’s husband for over two years and discovered that I was three months pregnant two weeks ago.
I never had sex with him without condom. It only happened once, travelled out of town and we both had too much to drink. We had sex and I believing that it wasn’t my ‘danger’ period forgot about it. We have had sex after then. I didn’t even know that I was pregnant, because I still had my normal monthly period, until my mother raised the issue.
I told her not to worry. People started insinuating that I was pregnant I denied it. Late last week, baba, the spiritualist called and told me that I have gone contrary to his instructions and I could get myself in trouble. I was shocked and said how, he said I was pregnant. I was shocked and went to take a test which confirmed that I was pregnant.
I don’t know what to do? I don’t know if Tiwa’s husband had found out because he has stopped picking my calls. My mother who used to be my strongest ally too is against me.
From the onset, she didn’t support my dating Tiwalade’s husband. Please, what should I do? I feel so alone and afraid. I have never been in a situation I couldn’t handle before, please, help me.

Northern Elders Seek Explanation To Gusau’s Rumoured Resignation

Northern Elders Seek Explanation To Gusau’s Rumoured Resignation

Paul-Unongo-DrThe Northern Elders’ Forum in Nigeria on Friday asked the presidency to properly explain what led to the rumoured resignation of the Minister of Defence, General Aliyu Gusau (Rtd).
The call is coming two days after a rumour published by online news media that the Minister had resigned after a meeting he scheduled to hold with the Service Chiefs, failed to hold because the Service Chiefs did not show up.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, elder statesman and Deputy Leader of the Forum, Dr Paul Unongo, insisted that constitutionally, members of the military and security agencies were subordinates to any civilian authority.
“The Service Chiefs have no explanation for refusing to honour the minister’s invitation for a meeting. The role of the military is clear and it is subordinated to the administrative directive of a civilian government.
“If it is true that they refused to attend the meeting, it is not done in the armed forces. If he is not capable of summoning the Army, how can he summon the police where his immediate colleagues in the Army have refused to attend the meeting he called?
“If he resigned, I support him because if I were there one, I would have resigned,” Dr Unongo stated.
He further called on the government to give a proper explanation to address the issue.
