Will Smith flop 'After Earth' crowned at Razzies
Jaden Smith won worst actor, while his Hollywood A-list dad Will earned worst supporting actor, and the father-and-son team were named the Worst Screen Combo.
The duo was "stranded on Planet Nepotism," Razzies founder John Wilson said at the award ceremony.
Another of last year's big box office duds, "The Lone Ranger" starring Johnny Depp -- on which Disney took a $200 million write-off -- was named "Worst Re-Make/Rip Off or Sequel.
"Movie 43," an anthology of short films featuring stars including Richard Gere, Emma Stone, Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet, took the top prize of the night, as well as worst director and worst screenplay.
Tyler Perry was named worst actress for his cross-dressing title role in "A Madea Christmas," while US reality TV star Kim Kardashian won worst supporting actress for "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor."
But Sandler failed to make it three worst actor awards in a row, despite earning seven nods for his latest film, "Grown Ups 2." The actor won in 2012 for his cross-dressing romp "Jack and Jill," and last year for the lowbrow comedy "That's My Boy."
Other nominated actors were Johnny Depp for "The Lone Ranger," Ashton Kutcher for his role as Apple founder Steve Jobs in "Jobs," and tough guy Sylvester Stallone for three films: cop action flick "Bullet to the Head," prison escape flick "Escape Plan" with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and "Grudge Match" about a rematch of ageing boxers with Robert De Niro.
Also left empty handed were previous winner -- and Oscar laureate -- Halle Berry, who is one of the few to have actually shown up to claim her prize. She was nominated this year for both "The Call" and "Movie 43."
Others shortlisted included troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan, singers Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga, and Naomi Watts for her less-than-loved work in "Diana" and "Movie 43."
Nominees very rarely attend the Razzies, usually held in small venues somewhere in Los Angeles or nearby.
Sandra Bullock turned up to accept worst actress in 2010 for "All About Steve," a day before winning best actress Oscar for "The Blind Side." Bullock is nominated for best actress on Sunday, for space drama "Gravity."
The Razzies were created in 1980 as an antidote to Hollywood's star-studded back-slapping annual awards season, which climaxes Sunday with the 86th Academy Awards.
Eight of the nine Razzie categories are chosen by the 800 or so members of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation, who earn voting rights by paying an $40 membership fee, with a $25 annual renewal.
The ninth category, Worst Screen Combo, is voted determined by ratings from more than 80,000 users of the Rotten Tomatoes movie review website.
