During the swearing in ceremony for the newly appointed Ministers, President Goodluck Jonathan disclosed that he did not any property outside the shores of Nigeria, neither was he operating any foreign bank account and that his kids schooled in Nigeria.
The President made the comment while charging the new ministers to be change agents. The president's words as tweeted by Reno Omkri, presidential Special Assistant on New Media, "See yourselves as servants and bring value to what you have been asked to do. Find out and detect errors and do adjustments that will bring positive changes.
"I am loyal to Nigeria’s economy. I don’t have accounts or property abroad. All my children live and school in Nigeria" .
Former Nigerian leaders have been known to have been known to own luxurious properties abroad plus fat bank accounts containing allegedly stolen money.
