Apple Inc. (AAPL) Notching Samsung’s Market Share With iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus in Asian Market

As per the statistics of Counterpoint, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) market share saw a significant surge in the Asian smartphone market since the debut of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September. Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s iPhone has seeing a biggest ever market share gains, during month of November, that is of a 33 percent market share in and Japan, South Korea and China. This only left behind a South Korean company Samsung Electronics and other competitors that had occupied a 60% market share in Asian Market.
A research director for mobile devices at Counterpoint, Tom Kang said, in the history of Korea’s smartphone industry, not any foreign brand has succeeded to go beyond the mark of 20 percent market share, Korea’s smartphone industry has always been dominated Samsung, but Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus dare to have made a difference, by notching the competition’s phablet sales.
The market share of Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in Japan soared to 51 percent in November, giving it a distinction lead over the second place Sony (SNE) that occupies 17 percent market share. Apple has taken a 12 percent market share in China’s smartphone market, which makes it at third place at the back of Lenovo’s 13 percent market share, and popular manufacturer Xiaomi that holds a 18 percent market share.
The data from AppLovin represents that in the month of November, Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus stood in the popular list of Asian customers, as the customers from Vietnam, Japan, Philippines and China adopted it at the rate of 35% for the larger device.
Summing up the overall performance of Apple’s devices along with its strong sales for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, make it a popular company, with analysts tracing more growth for the company with larger screens and both devices.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s stock on 21 January traded at beginning with a price of $108.87 and when day-trade ended the stock finally moved up 0.76% to end at $109.55. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s showed weekly performance of -0.61%.
